Before we get to the run, on Friday…

I went to the Ohio Blogging Association January meet up at Noodlecat, a Japanese restaurant in downtown Cleveland. I had a large order of steam buns (which are basically miniature burgers/sandwiches) as the karaoke began. Yeah. Karaoke is truly not my forte and as I told several folks I usually only karaoke with very close friends! OBA must have got to me because before you know it was out there singing.
Jen has a nice recap of the shenanigans.
Saturday I went to the gym and ran 1 mile, followed by 1 mile on the elliptical. It was a simple workout and in all honesty my running endurance is shot right now. So it felt like I had done a lot. Later that day I caught wind of the cold front moving through our area and I thought it would be nice to take Lulu out for a nice long walk. Then I realized… why not run? She and I have run/walked a few times now anywhere from 2-3 miles so we’ve been building up endurance.

Run pup run!
I decided I really wanted to see Lake Erie, kind of like when I got the itch last January. So we headed toward the water. In total we ran 4.8 miles. WOW! I felt so great! Granted this was a run/walk (again with my endurance being shot) but I was amazed at how many times I was telling her “Let’s go!” and we would run again.

Lake Erie in January. Bleak. But I still love it!
I slept like a baby that night and it made me want to run so much more. Except that the high will be 14-degrees today. Yikes. On my last note, I wanted to share that I made Pretzel Rolls w/Beer-Cheddar Sauce for “dinner” Saturday.

Delicious! The only problem was it took me about an hour and a half to make these. I forgot how time-consuming homemade pretzels are. Next time I might buy frozen pretzels and just make the sauce from scratch.
Are there any foods you really enjoy but refuse to make homemade?

YOu have the cutest little pup!
Chicken parmigiana. I LOVE it, but I refuse to fry things and it never comes out well baked. Those pretzels look amazing, but I already know I’m too lazy to try making them. Great run! I’m jealous of your amazing scenery (well, I was until I realized you get lake effect weather from it).
